It's been a two-year post production delay for Depression-era film, Serena, but we've finally been treated to a trailer, with none other than its two stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Bradley Cooper. This will be the third time the duo shares the silver screen – the first being when they played love interests in Silver Linings Playbook, and the second in American Hustle.

Serena, based on the novel of the same name by Ron Rash, follows the lives of George and Serena Pemberton. The newlywed couple run a timber company together and everything seems like a businessman's dream come true until George learns that Serena cannot bear children.

It's great having the face-palm legend in an era that's not post-apocalyptic for a change, and this one goes even further back than the glitzy mood in American Hustle. A few instances remind us of Katniss Everdeen in the forests, except with short, blonde curls and lipstick that befits a femme fatale (with an agenda?) in what promises to be thrilling storyline.

In other great JLaw news, the actress has been announced as one of the co-chairs at next year's Met Gala, which is to be held on 4 May with the theme, Chinese Whispers: Tales of the East in Art, Film and Fashion.
