Jena Malone may be the first female Robin to appear onscreen

Aha! Perhaps there really was a reason for Jena Malone to dye her hair red: to play Carrie Kelley in Batman v Superman

A little bird has it that Jena Malone may be getting yet another butt-kicking role to add to Sucker Punch and The Hunger Games. And it's going to be a superhero role, no less. A Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice extra revealed that Jena has been cast as Carrie Kelley, one of Batman's sidekick Robin's many incarnations.

This information has not yet been confirmed by Warner Bros., as the extra reportedly broke his confidentiality agreement to convey the news to WILX-10 News. Consider also, that Jena's recent dye job is possibly non-exclusive to the fact that Carrie is a redhead. It's either a random hair transformation, or the 29-year-old has begun filming with director, Zack Snyder, in which case we couldn't be more excited.

The man who dished on the film could be fined $5 million for leaking this information, among a few other details regarding a fight between Bruce Wayne (Ben Affleck) and Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg). We can only hope that it's worth it.

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice has been moved up from May 2016 to a March 2016 release date.
