Jay Z and friends are celebrating Tidal and they want you at the party (not for free, sorry). The massive Tidal X: 1020 concert, to be held on 20 October at Barclays Center in Brooklyn, will feature Jay Z, Beyoncé, Usher, Nicki Minaj, Prince, T.I., Lil Wayne and more.

Tidal members can now purchase tickets – prices range from US$74 to US$244 – while the general sale starts on Friday, 12pm ET (that's 12am on Saturday in Malaysian time).

All ticket proceeds will not go into the performing artists' pockets, but will in fact "benefit nonprofit organisations dedicated to advancing positive community relations and effecting systemic change for the development and sustainability of just societies," according to Tidal's website.

The concert will also be live-streamed worldwide on – you guessed it – Tidal.com and the Tidal app. Never has there been a better reason to sign up, right?
