When news first broke about Disney's plans to bring Polynesian princess Moana to life, we were ecstatic. Now we're even more excited for the animated film to reach our screens because Disney has finally found their princess and she's Auli'i Cravalho from Oahu, Hawaii.

With Dwayne 'The Rock' Johnson as Moana's demi-god companion Maui, the film tells the story of a spirited teenager who sails on a daring mission to prove herself and complete her ancestor's unfinished quest.

It seems Auli'i is just as excited for the film as we are and why shouldn't she be? It's been her lifelong dream to be a Disney princess after all. "From baby time to now, I wanted to be a Disney princess and then I wanted to be a singer or an actress," she said in the film feature above.

"Moana is such an amazing character," Auli'i told People. "She's brave, she is so empowered, she knows what she wants and she's not afraid to get it, and I think that's something that I can relate to as well. I just love watching how she goes along in this wonderful movie and grows as a person and helps her culture along the way."

Congratulations Auli'i! We're sure you'll make a great Disney princess.
