The Batman v Superman Twitter released the first promo shot of Henry Cavill as the bulletproof superhero for upcoming DC film, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. This is the second photo of any character from Batman v Superman to be released, after Zack Snyder posted a monochrome of Ben Affleck looking sullen in his Batsuit earlier in May 2014.

The movie is still a long time coming, scheduled for release in May 2016, but the anticipation is only getting thicker by the day.

Zack refused to comment on the nature of Batman and Superman's relationship in Dawn of Justice, but explained that using a 'v' instead of 'vs' serves "to keep it from being a straight 'versus' movie, even in the most subtle way."

Noting that "it's kinda cool" that this is first time ever that the two superheroes will meet on live-action film, Zack said "It's Batman and Superman, let's just be honest. I don't know how you get bigger than that."

Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice will also introduce Wonder Woman (Gal Gadot), Cyborg (Ray Fisher), and villain Lex Luthor (Jesse Eisenberg).
