'Harry Potter' concert to be staged in Malaysia

The Selangor Symphony Orchestra will perform John Williams's score

Potterheads rejoice! The first installment of the Harry Potter Film Concert Series will be staged in Kuala Lumpur this 15 and 16 July. The Selangor Symphony Orchestra will play John Williams's award-winning score live, as the audience watches Harry Potter and The Philosopher's Stone at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre's Plenary Hall.

"The Harry Potter film series is a once-in-a-lifetime cultural phenomenon that continues to delight millions of fans around the world," said Justin Freer, producer of the concert series. "It is with great pleasure that we introduce for the first time ever an opportunity to experience the award-winning music scores played live by a symphony orchestra, all while the beloved film is simultaneously projected onto the big screen. It will be an unforgettable event.”

Tickets will be available online tomorrow, 15 March at 3pm, with prices ranging from RM198 to RM588.
