Harrison Ford, Mark Hamill and Carrie Fisher reprise their roles in Star Wars: Episode VII
More cast members revealed for the JJ Abrams directed film
We'll just go straight into the name-dropping. To join Harrison Ford (Hans Solo), Mark Hamill (Luke Skywalker), and Carrie Fisher (Princess Leia) – like you needed us to tell you who they played – in the seventh instalment of epic space opera Star Wars are Adam Driver, Andy Serkis, Domhnall Gleeson, Oscar Isaac, and Daisy Ridley.
Also returning to reprise their roles, we were very excited to hear, are Anthony Daniels (C3PO), Peter Mayhew (Chewbacca), and Kenny Baker (R2-D2). Shooting begins in two weeks, and we've already started to hum John Williams' main theme.
Let's not forget the fact that the brilliant composer is onboard to score the new film's soundtrack. Also worth noting is how directing Episode VII means that J.J. Abrams, who directed the 2009 and 2013 Star Trek films will have his hand in both space cult rivals.
Star Wars: Episode VII opens on 18 December 2015.
