'Girl in Dior' is the most chic and elegant comic ever

Move over Betty and Veronica, there's a new girl in town

If you love fashion and fairytales, then this comic book is for you. Called Girl in Dior, it is set in the 1940s and '50s and tells the story of Clara, a budding fashion journalist whose certain je ne sais quoi captures the attention of designer Christian Dior, who recruits her to be a model for his label. And when Dior recruits you for anything, your life's course is forever changed.

The story is part-fiction, part-history, and illustrated by one of France's most respected graphic novelists, Annie Goetzinger. It is published in English for the first time this month, and you can buy it here at Kinokuniya for RM129. In the meantime, watch Annie talk about Girl in Dior in this video:
