Angela Merkel, Beyonce and Miuccia Prada count amongst the most powerful women in the world
Forbes has released their list of the World's Most Powerful Women for the year, and as usual it features familiar and new faces from the spheres of politics, finance, business, entertainment, technology and more. Topping the list for the ninth time is Angela Merkel, chancellor of Germany; followed by chair of the US Federal Reserve Janet Yellen, with philanthropist Melinda Gates at number three.
Beyoncé comes in at number 17, the highest position for an entertainment figure on the list, with Angelina Jolie at number 50. Fashion personalities Anna Wintour (39), Diane von Furstenberg (68), Miuccia Prada (75) and Tory Burch (79) also made the list.
