The only thing worse than having a person forget the crimes they committed against you is if that person is your own father. In Regression, a traumatised Angela Gray (Emma Watson) accuses her father John (David Dencik) of sexual abuse. He pleads guilty to the crime, but does not remember his actions. Ethan Hawke plays detective Bruce Kenner who investigates the case, only to uncover a more horrifying mystery.

Bruce brings in psychologist Dr. Kenneth Raines (David Thewlis aka Professor Lupin in Harry Potter) to help Angela open up about what happened to her. She describes chanting, people wearing robes and a black mask... all the chilling elements that spell out "satanic cult."

Regression was directed and written by Alejandro Amenábar, who is known for his work in 1991 horror-thriller film The Others (starring Nicole Kidman). The film will be out in the UK come October. It is still unsure, however, if the film will be shown in Malaysia.
