Eleven Madison Park, an eatery located in New York and owned by Will Guidara and Swiss-born chef Daniel Humm came in at 1st place on the World's 50 Best Restaurants list. The restaurant came in at third place last year and first made its debut on the list in 2010 after staying within the top 10 since 2012.

"I don't think any of us here do what we do for the accolades," Guidara said in his acceptance speech. "But affirmation is a beautiful thing that fills your gas tank. It fuels you, and gives you the ability to keep pushing. And this, because it comes from everyone in here, this is the greatest affirmation of all."

At least seven Asian restaurants also made it onto the list. Leading the group at 7th place is Bangkok's Gaggan (which was crowned The Best Restaurant in Asia) followed by Singapore's Restaurant André at number 14, Tokyo's Narisawa at number 18, Hong Kong's Amber at number 24, Bangkok's Nahm at number 28, and Shanghai's Ultraviolet by Paul Pairet at number 41.

On another note, chef Ana Roš of Hiša Franko in Kobarid, Slovenia was named World's Best Female Chef. Her restaurant came in at 69th place but she's still a damn winner in our eyes.

Congratulations, everyone! See the full list of winners here.
