For the first time, Disney has released behind-the-scenes footage for Cinderella. Adapted from Disney's 1950 animated film, which was based on the Grimm's fairy tale, the new film has big shoes to fill.

"I was intrigued to find out how it'd be in a live-action version and what do people expect of that in the 21st century," said director Kenneth Branagh.

"It's terrifying because it's such a big act to follow," said Lily James, who plays the titular character.

As the demographic that grew up with the loveable cartoon classic – friendly talking mice and all – we can concur.

Another teaser clip, released on New Year's Eve, centres on how the spell lasts until the stroke of midnight. We see a bit more of the beautiful (and apparently very comfortable) glass slippers, which aren't only in Cinderella's possession; her stepsisters have gotten hold of one side of the pair too.

Cinderella, which also stars Cate Blanchett, Helena Bonham Carter and Richard Madden, hits Malaysian cinemas on 12 March 2015.
