Did Adele just tease a new song?

Please let this mean that she's finally coming back

On Sunday, during an episode of The X Factor on ITV, a 30-second advertisement of Adele singing an unknown song sparked talk that the 27-year-old singer is really making a comeback after what is almost a five-year hiatus since the release of her last album, 21, in January 2011.

"Hello, it's me," she sings. "I was wondering if after all these years you'd like to meet. To go over everything. They say that time's supposed to heal ya, but I ain't done much healing..."

In fact, the ad makes no mention of Adele, but you guys, there's no doubt that it's her. She's kept mum about any rumours – some of which claim her third album will drop next month – and is rarely on social media, so the only way we'll know for sure is if Adele announces it herself.

It seems we're not the only ones excited about this right now. In August, Billboard reported that One Republic frontman Ryan Tedder is one of her collaborators for her upcoming album. At the very least, his tweet confirms that the teaser is indeed from Adele.
