We're not yet sure if we like this replacement

The debate as to whether Daniel Craig may soon step down from his huge role as James Bond continues after he dropped a hint about it in an interview with Esquire UK earlier this month.

What's more, it seems that his successor to play the world's most famous British spy has been chosen and it is Homeland star Damian Lewis. The Mirror UK reports that Damian has been given "an unofficial nod" to take up the role if Daniel decides to leave the franchise.

"If Daniel Craig leaves, it's Damian Lewis who will be crowned the new Bond," a source said. "He is seen as an all-round international star who is perfect for the role. As he ages, he looks increasingly suave and sophisticated."

We can't argue with that, but it is still too early to say if we love this new (potential) Bond or not. Meanwhile, there is still Spectre to look forward to; the film starts showing in local cinemas on 6 November 2015.
