Supermodel Coco Rocha knows a thing or two about taking control of your social media platforms – she has a million followers on Instagram, even more on Twitter and close to 500k page likes on Facebook. At an interview in Sydney where Coco was present for the debut of the Mercedes-Benz GLC, the fashion icon said she likes how raw and real Snapchat is.

"I'm into Snapchat and Periscope. I haven't done much Periscope here [in Sydney], but I guess [I like it] because it's so instant, whereas Instagram and some of the other ones you might over think," noted Coco. "When Instagram first came out, it was really raw, like what Snapchat is now. We would just take photos of anything. Your food, your bed hair, it was very random things. Now Instagram has become such a perfect tool and it's all beautifully done. And that I think is still very important for people to do."

Her get-real, get-down-with-it Snapchat tips:
Don't be fake. "Be real. Think of fun interesting things, what are you eating and what are you doing?"
Don't over style it. "Here I am, here's what I'm doing at this moment. Instead of filter, change, focus, is that a good angle?"
Don't over think it. "Snapchat is: take it, you like it, put maybe one filter on it and off it goes."
