From former First Lady to future president?

Hillary Clinton on Sunday confirmed the worst-kept secret in US politics: that she is going to run for US president in 2016. Hillary made the announcement in a no-fuss way on social media. To kick off her campaign, the 67-year-old created a logo (more on that later), tweeted, launched a Facebook page and posted a YouTube video, underlining the fact that Hillary Clinton needs no introduction.

About that capital 'H' with the embedded words "Hillary for America"... the logo has met with criticism from design experts, who claim that the colours, while patriotic, are too immature and hard-edged.

But all that condemnation isn't going to bring Hillary down (we also like to think that a logo doesn't define one's competence at leading one of the most powerful nations in the world). There's also this gem on her website, which you can see for yourself here, to prove that she has a sense of humour.

"Americans have fought their way back from tough economic times, but the deck is still stacked in favour of those at the top," Hillary says in the video. "So you can do more than just get by. You can get ahead and stay ahead. Because when families are strong, America is strong."

Here are some reactions from American celebrities who've already declared their support for Hillary.

Elsewhere in America, Hillary has earned herself a very upset rival.

Zeke is ready for Hillary. Just not in the way she'd probably expect...(This was Z's immediate reaction to viewing HRC's announcement video. Instant meltdown.)
