It's the only time you'll get to see Ryan Reynolds' wife stab a shark

A great white shark attacks Blake Lively in upcoming film The Shallows, which we haven't seen listed in Malaysian cinemas yet, but here's hoping. Why? Because Jaws might actually lose out to the CGI era, that's why.

While The Shallows doesn't involve a seaside full of beach bums, further out into water is where the action happens. Blake, who plays a surfer girl called Nancy, is trapped on a small rock in a secluded bay after being bitten by a shark, and there's no one she can call for help – the 1:30 marker will explain more. Not many surprises can be pulled from a plot like this, but you can't help knowing that it's still going to be fun to watch.
