Beyoncé tops this year's MTV Video Music Awards nominations

'Drunk in Love' hitmaker Beyoncé Knowles is up for eight awards this year

Beyoncé has the most number of nominations at this year's MTV Video Music Awards, including the Video of the Year. Iggy Azalea and Eminem come in a close second to Queen Bey with seven nominations each.

Beyoncé is also up for Best Female Video and Best Collaboration for her steamy Drunk in Love video with husband Jay Z.

Other Video of the Year nominees include Iggy for her Clueless-inspired video for Fancy, Pharrell William's Happy, Sia's Chandelier, and Miley Cyrus' infamous video for Wrecking Ball.

Big nominees include Ariana GrandeEd Sheeran, Sam Smith and Lorde. This year's Video Music Awards will be held on 24 August in Inglewood, California.
