Fans of Beyoncé will have something to look forward to now after it has been announced that Mrs Carter is in talks to star in NBC's production of The Wiz, a rendition of L. Frank Baum's The Wonderful Wizard of Oz with an "African-American/multicultural twist".

If rumours are true then Beyoncé will be taking up the role of Glinda the Good Witch opposite Mary J. Blige's Evillene, the Wicked Witch of the West. Queen Latifah also joins the cast as the infamous Wizard. The role won't be that easy to nab though as E! Online reports that Orange is the New Black actress Uzo Aduba is also being considered for the part. May the best singer win!
