The model is an equestrian at heart

Bella Hadid's 'cool girl' level just went up a notch. She already has a skyrocketing modelling career and she's made frequent appearances on the runway this past fashion month. However, her heart actually belongs elsewhere, she reveals in an interview with Porter magazine.

A little known fact about the model, who turns 19 next week, is that she is an award-winning equestrian who loves horses perhaps even more than the runway. Bella's goal for next year is to compete in the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.

"You know how every model is like, 'I do yoga.' Well, I find horses have the same effect," she told Porter. "You have to put your ego aside and concentrate on making the horse do the things you want it to do, and move in the way you want it to move."

Bella has her mother Yolanda Foster to thank for instilling her love for horseback riding.

"My devotion stemmed from my mom's love of horses. I have been riding since I could walk and the fact that my mom knew everything about horses really helped my passion grow," she added.

Fingers crossed she qualifies for the Olympics – it would be nice to see her in a different landscape that isn't the catwalk.

I miss you 😿
