Our week just got a lot better. Beauty and the Beast has been confirmed for a 30 March release in Malaysia, without cuts. We repeat; without cuts.

GSC Cinemas and TGV Cinemas confirmed the news on Twitter.

It would seem that Disney Malaysia and the Film Censorship Board of Malaysia (LPF) have come to an agreement, after the LPF ordered for a 4-minute cut that featured a "gay moment." Disney then made an official statement that read "The film has not been and will not be cut for Malaysia."

Beauty and the Beast is now rated PG13 in Malaysia. We're glad it all worked out, but we haven't heard why the LPF decided to withdraw the cut order.

This is how we feel right now.

@beautyandthebeast opens today! I hope you have as much fun watching it as I did making it. Love, Emma 🌹
