Karl Lagerfeld is getting his gloved hands on the toymaking industry, with an upcoming collaboration with only the most iconic doll in history, Barbie. WWD announced that the limited edition doll, which is part of the Barbie Collector series, will be dressed like the Kaiser, fingerless gloves, monochrome get-up, sunglasses and all.

Karl won't stop until he's put his name on everything. Be it operas, emoticons, hotels, or a beauty campaign starring his cat, the German designer is not a force you'd forget even if you tried. This Mattel deal is one more and probably not the last notch on Karl's and Barbie's belts.

One question: will Barbie Lagerfeld have a miniature Choupette?
