Angelina Jolie Debuts 3-Minute Trailer of 'Unbroken'
The Angelina Jolie-directed drama tells the tale of Olympian Louis Zamperini
Angelina Jolie is back in the director’s seat. She’s just released the three-minute trailer of her new drama Unbroken, the film that follows the true story of Olympian Louis Zamperini. Based on the bestselling book of the same name, the movie charts Louis’ journey as he crashes at sea during World War II and survives on a raft for 47 days, before being caught by the Japanese Navy and sent to a prisoner-of-war camp.
Angelina directed and produced the drama, working from a script by Joel and Ethan Coen (adapred from earlier drafts by William Nicholson and Richard LaGravenese). Newcomer Jack O’Connell stars as Zamperini, in a cast that includes Domhnall Gleeson, Garrett Hedlund and Japanese singer Miyavi in his English-language feature debut.
Unbroken is set for release on Christmas Day.
