The androgynous model will most likely play one of Ariel's mermaid sisters in the forthcoming film

Sofia Coppola hasn't gotten a full cast list for The Little Mermaid yet, but we're already very excited about its first member. Androgynous model Andrej Pejic will reportedly make her acting debut in the film as sister number four – yes, she'll be a mermaid, and we wouldn't have it any different.

The Bosnian-born Australian beauty has long been the talk of town for her beauty and unique ability to gender-bend. We can already imagine her in mermaid tail, seashells, and long, flowy hair (Blue? Green? Lilac? She'll just rock the underwater world in any colour, we think).

Even though this will be Andrej's first silver-screen gig, it isn't her first time onscreen. She starred in the music video for David Bowie's The Stars (Are Out Tonight) next to arthouse film queen Tilda Swinton. Speaking of Tilda, wouldn't it be brilliant to see her in Sofia's film too? Just an idea, Sofia.
