[Update 9 August 2017] Pince & Pints have announced these changes to the lobster burger: 100g of fresh lobster will be used for the burger patty, and the menu will be available indefinitely, even past 30 September.

To celebrate our nation's 60th year of independence, lobster-centric restaurant Pince & Pints introduced the Lobster Burger, available from now through September 2017.

Each burger contains meat from one whole lobster, which has been generously seasoned and condensed into a juicy patty. The patty is later slowly deep fried and served sandwiched between a house-made potato bun. Accompanying the Lobster Burger are a serving of sweet potato fries, coleslaw and three in-house sauces – Garlic & Lobster (which promises a memorable umami experience), Spicy Tomato and Wasabi Mayo.

The coleslaw and sauces are served separately, so dress your own burger to your preference: have it plain or lightly slathered in sauce. Or go all the way and enjoy it like the classic Ramly burger, a Malaysian favourite, which means you drown the patty in sauce.

In a country where our unofficial motto is 'live to eat', a lobster burger seems like the perfect way to treat ourselves this Merdeka.

The Lobster Burger is priced at RM148++ and will only be available from now until 30 September 2017. For reservations and enquires, call 03 2201 3233 or 017 880 0871.

Pince & Pints Kuala Lumpur is located at No. 32, Jalan Telawi 5, Bangsar Baru.
