Nobu Kuala Lumpur has a new menu for sake lovers, available for one weekend only.

The seven-course menu by Chef Philip Leong will be paired with six of the restaurant's premium sake selections – Nobu 'The Sake' Jyunmai Daiginjo, Hokusetsu Yukino Hibiki, Nobu 'The Premium Sake' Daiginjo TK 40, Nobu Special Reserve 28, Hokuketsu Jyunmai Shu Sado and Umeshu Plum Wine.

The omakase menu opens with a Zensai platter that includes Kumamoto oysters with raspberry salsa, sesame tofu and uni with caviar, and kinmedai tiradito with dashi jelly. The appetiser is paired with Nobu 'The Sake' Jyunmai Daiginjo – a fragrant sake with spicy and floral notes.

After that, there's the sashimi salad with dry miso, accompanied by the Hokusetsu Yukino Hibiki sake – expect an aroma of white pepper and a hint of lemon. It's followed by a sushi platter of madai, unagi, snowcrab, shrimp, tamago and gingko nuts and beans. The Hokusetsu Jyunmai Shu Sado complements the dish.

Make sure you have room for Nobu's succulent Kobe beef with quinoa tabbouleh salsa, chickpea purée, zucchini flower and pickled purple carrot that's paired with the Nobu Special Reserve 28.

There's also the Inaniwa with shrimp and squid with nori sauce, coupled with Nobu 'The Premium Sake' Daiginjo TK 40 that's absolutely delectable. Finally, your dessert, the Yuzu crème brûlée and mocha will be accompanied by a refreshing glass of Umeshu Plum Wine.

The omakase menu is only available on 21 and 22 April (Friday and Saturday) at the price of RM798 per person. Nobu KL is located at Level 56, Menara 3 Petronas KLCC. For reservations or inquiries, call 03 2164 5084 or WhatsApp 019 389 5085.
