New Girl actress Zooey Deschanel has gotten herself into a sticky situation when she sold the entertainment website in October. She co-founded the website with Molly McAleer and Sophia Rossi in 2011.

The Hollywood Reporter reveals that she earned between $20 million (approx. RM86 million) to $30 million (approx. RM129 million) for the sale of it but did not pay Seven Summits Pictures & Management, the firm which used to manage her career, 10% of the profits garnered from the website.

"On November 16, 2015, after Seven Summits learned that Deschanel received money in connection with the sale of Hello Giggles, Seven Summits requested that Deschanel pay Seven Summits 10% commission on her income from Hello Giggles... but Deschanel refused to pay any such commissions," read the complaint that was filed yesterday at the Los Angeles Superior Court.

Yikes, what a way to end the year!
