Victoria's Secret Angels lip sync Shake It Off
Looks like Taylor Swift is quickly becoming a Victoria's Secret favourite. Besides performing at the fashion show for two years running, Taylor has seen her songs used in promotional videos starring the Angels. Following last year's I Knew You Were Trouble performance, the Victoria's Secret Angels this year lip synced to the Billboard chart-topper Shake It Off.
Don't underestimate these girls; they mime better than many pop stars do. As for the dancing, well, no comment on that. Watch Karlie, Lily, Adriana, Alessandra, Doutzen (who can rap the bridge, by the way), Behati and Candice have fun in London.
Diddy fought with Drake over a song
Drake got punched by Diddy on Monday morning at Art Basel in Miami, sparking rumours the rappers were fighting over either women or money. However, according to new reports, the feud was because of a song. Wow, guys.
Sources told TMZ that producer Boi-1da gave both Diddy and Drake a song eight months ago. Diddy didn't use the song, but Drake wanted to. The latter then went ahead and worked with the song, resulting in his new track, 0 to 100 / The Catch Up. The song, now nominated for two Grammys (Best Rap Song and Best Rap Performance), was apparently what angered Diddy.
As he went to confront Drake at Miami Beach's LIV nightclub this week, eyewitnesses claim that Drake brushed him off, causing Diddy to say "You'll never disrespect me again" before throwing the punch. (Hey, Diddy. You snooze you lose, right?) Drake reportedly ended up in ER because the tussle aggravated an old injury in his shoulder.
Avril Lavigne asks fans to keep her in their prayers
The Canadian pop star hasn't been feeling too well, according to a tweet on a fan account, AvrilMusicChart, which Avril herself retweeted and responded to.
The same fan account also posted screenshots of a DM conversation with Avril, which has been confirmed by the singer's reps as authentic. In the messages, the 30-year-old reveals that she's been having some health issues, and asks fans to pray for her. The nature of her illness has not been made known.
Her health issues come not long after a swirl of rumours concerning her marriage to Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger. The couple were said to be having problems in their relationship, which led to speculations about a divorce. However, Chad put those rumours to sleep early November, signalling that he and his wife are still going strong. Keep holding on, Avril, and get well soon.
Lena Dunham's publisher will alter her book after lawsuit threat
Not That Kind of Girl will receive a slight alteration to one of the passages where Lena Dunham describes a college rape, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Lena used the name 'Barry' to refer to the student who assaulted her. But she doesn't mention that the name used in the book is in fact a pseudonym. Unfortunately, another student at Lena's college at the time who is actually called Barry matches the description of the rapist, turning the whole situation into an ugly case of libel.
Real-Barry's attorney, Aaron Minc, approached Lena's representatives asking for amendments to be made to protect his client, but it wasn't until he threatened to take the case to court that action was taken.
Lena's publisher, Random House, has offered to pay the fees Barry paid Aaron for his services, but the lawyer deemed it insufficient.
"I don't know if that will be good enough for my client. Ideally, we were looking for something from Miss Dunham," Aaron said. "We were also looking for an edit to be made to the book, and it's my understanding that they are going to comply with that – to note that the name 'Barry' is a pseudonym. They have given me an indication that that is happening imminently."
