Vanessa Paradis and Lily-Rose Depp defend Johnny Depp
Their defence follows Amber Heard's allegations of abuse against the actor
Amber Heard didn't just file for divorce from Johnny Depp last week, she also filed for a restraining order, claiming that the actor had assaulted her on her birthday. While Johnny chose to stay quiet about the accusations, his former partner of 14 years, Vanessa Paradis, and daughter Lily-Rose Depp came to his defence.
"Johnny Depp is the father of my two children, he is a sensitive, loving and loved person," Vanessa allegedly wrote in a letter obtained by TMZ. "I believe with all my heart that these recent allegations made are outrageous, in all the years I have known Johnny he has never been physically abusive with me and this looks nothing like the man I lived with for 14 wonderful years."
Lily's support read as: "My dad is the sweetest most loving person I know, he's been nothing but a wonderful father to my little brother and I, and everyone who knows him would say the same."
Other celebs such as Paul Bettany and The Walking Dead star Laurie Holden took to Twitter to also provide their support.
known Johnny Depp for years and through several relationships. He's the sweetest, kindest, gentlest man that I've ever known. Just saying.— Paul Bettany (@Paul_Bettany) May 28, 2016
All I'm saying-Domestic violence is a serious allegation. Trial by twitter is unhelpful. Let the facts come out before rushing to judgment— Paul Bettany (@Paul_Bettany) May 28, 2016
I, for one, am going to see Johnny Depp's new movie. His personal life is just that. Personal. No one knows the real truth so just zip it.— Laurie Holden (@Laurie_Holden) May 28, 2016
