The people have chosen their old favourites at the People’s Choice Awards this year with many stars from the nineties coming up strong on the winners’ list.

There’s funny man Adam Sandler who’s back on the ball this year and took home the People’s Choice Awards for Favorite Comedic Movie Actor. Favorite Dramatic Movie Actor went to Leonardo DiCaprio (oh, didn’t he make us swoon as Gatsby!), Ironman Robert Downey Jr. powered past all superheroes to win Favorite Action Movie Star  and our all-time beloved sexy, crazy man Johnny Depp snapped up the award for overall Favourite Movie Actor.

Television categories also saw many firm favourites clinching top votes and taking home trophies. Joseph Morgan won Actor in a new TV series for his role as Klaus Mikaelson in The Originals, Chris Colfer crept into our hearts to steal our votes for Favorite Comedic Actor and the very gorgeous Ian Somerhalder was voted as the people’s Favorite TV actor – Fantasy/Sci-Fi for the fourth year running.

Over in the music categories, Justin Timberlake’s bringing sexy back. It’s no small feat to beat other the chart-toppers of 2013 such as Bruno Mars, Rihanna and Robin Thicke but Justin bounces across the charts this year to win the popular vote for three awards – Favorite Male Artist, Favorite R&B Artist and Favorite Album for The 20/20 Experience.

The People have done well, we think, choosing so many of the gorgeous idols we grew up with. Those posters of Leonardo, Johnny and Justin may have come off our bedroom walls, but they’ll still always have a special little place in our hearts. It’s good to know that kids today love ‘em as much as we did 20 years ago.
