Fresh on the back of the announcement that the 2014 Laureus World Sports Awards will be held in little ol’ Kuala Lumpur, is the news that David Beckham will be flying in for the ceremony. Details are limited as to the actual dates of the visit, but the ceremony takes place on March 26 at Istana Budaya, so fingers crossed that David will schedule some sightseeing time around that. (No news yet on whether he's bringing his wife, Victoria or the kids.)

This will be the fifteenth year of the Laureus World Sports Awards. The Awards honours sporting achievements over the past year, and past winners include Usain Bolt, Sebastian Coe, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadel and Michael Schumacher. The Awards will be globally televised.

In other recent Beckham news, Victoria Beckham showed her Autumn/Winter 2014 collection at New York Fashion Week and David Beckham looked sexy in H&M underwear.
