[Updated 15 October 2014] Out of the Woods is indeed the newly-released song from Taylor Swift's 1989 album, and you can listen to it on iTunes. It's not Taylor like you know her, and it contrasts Shake It Off by miles and miles. Fair warning, if you're used to her persona, this will take some getting used to, but it's definitely not a bad change.

Taylor Swift really knows how to keep her fans on edge, doesn't she? Just yesterday, the 24-year-old posted an Instagram photo with the caption "5 days. #1989" accompanying it.

From the forest setting and Taylor's Rolling Stones interview, it can be deduced that the song in question is quite possibly, Out of the Woods. Be it that song or not, the singer confirmed that she'll be releasing a song regardless.

How many more countdowns does she plan to hit us with at the same time? Oh how you tease us, Taylor. We're not the only ones way too excited about the 27 October release of 1989. One of her besties, Hailee Steinfeld is bursting at the seams with anticipation too.
