Taylor Swift replaces herself as number 1 in the charts
And Reese Witherspoon defends Renée Zellweger, Scarlett Johansson may be married and Jennifer Lawrence gushes about Liam Hemsworth
Taylor Swift makes Billboard Hot 100 history with a second consecutive No.1 hit
This girl's on a roll! 1989 sold 1.287 million copies in its first week, Shake It Off lead the Billboard Hot 100 for four weeks straight and now Taylor's gone and done what no other woman ever has. We don't know if it was those crazy eyes or the catchy lyrics in Blank Space, but the song has earned her the No.1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 this week, dethroning another of her songs, Shake It Off.
This feat has only ever been achieved by nine other artists and bands, including The Beatles, OutKast, The Black Eyed Peas, Usher and Boyz II Men. Taylor is the first female solo artist in history to do it.
That's not all; she's also currently the only artist to have had two Hot 100 No.1 songs this year. Blank Space jumps from number 13 to 1, while Shake It Off drops to number 3 in its thirteenth week on the chart. Knowing how Taylor reacts to her chart-topping hits and awards, she's gotta be off-kilter right now.
Reese Witherspoon defends Renée Zellweger
Renée Zellweger received plenty of attention when she attended the ELLE Women in Hollywood Awards recently and was almost unrecognisable. The Bridget Jones's Diary actress has drawn criticism from the public for her drastic change in appearance and rumoured plastic surgery, but Reese Witherspoon is having none of it.
"It's horrible. It's cruel and rude and disrespectful, and I can go on and on and on. It bothers me immensely," Reese told The Hollywood Reporter at its annual actress roundtable session.
"I know this is so Pollyanna of me, but why – and it's particularly women – why do they have to tear women down? And why do we have to tear other women down to build another woman up? It drives me crazy," she added. "Like, this one looks great without her makeup but that one doesn't look good without her makeup, and it's all just a judgment and assault that I don't – look, men are prey to it as well. I just don't think it's with the same sort of ferocity."

Renée previously responded to the buzz, telling People "I'm glad folks think I look different! I'm living a different, happy, more fulfilling life, and I'm thrilled that perhaps it shows... Perhaps I look different. Who doesn't as they get older?! Ha. But I am different. I'm happy."
Is Scarlett Johansson married?
Unless our eyes deceive us, it's possible that Scarlett Johansson has tied the knot with Romain Dauriac, her fiancé and father of her child. The Lucy actress wore a delicate band, slightly hidden by the gigantic rock that is her engagement ring, while hosting the recent Friends Of Rockaway 2nd annual Hurricane Sandy fundraiser in New York. Her pixie crop, which she debuted late July, looked as chic as ever.

Scarlett and Romain's marriage remains a rumour for now, but we're not exactly getting our hopes too high for a detailed inside look at the typically secretive actress's nuptials – she and Romain have expressed that they want their family's privacy to be respected. And respect we will, but isn't that ring just beautiful?
Jennifer Lawrence never expected to have a friend like Liam Hemsworth
Jennifer: just like us. If your best friend was Liam Hemsworth, the 24-year-old 6'3" hunk, you'd feel pretty surprised too. Underneath all that fooling around, eating garlic before filming a kissing scene with Liam, Jennifer is thankful for their friendship.
"I would never expect to ever have a man this good-looking ever be my best friend. I just would never assume those things could happen, but he is," she said at a press conference for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1. "He's the most wonderful, lovable, family oriented, sweet, hilarious, amazing guy. He actually taught me how to be fair and to stand up for myself."
The 24-year-old star admits that while she's "a wimp" and is eager for people to like her, Liam isn't like that and it's thanks to him that she's learned how to stand up for herself. "I'm a wimp about standing up for myself and Liam is always fair. He's always on time, he's always doing his job, but he's good about making sure that things stay fair."
"He's teaching me to toughen up a little bit. That was important, I need that. Thanks buddy," she added, grinning at Liam.
We can't be the only ones thinking that they'd make a cute couple, right? Right?
