Taylor Swift performs acoustic version of 'Out of the Woods'
And we've fallen in love with Taylor all over again
To celebrate the first birthday of her wildly successful 1989 album, Taylor Swift shared a video of her singing Out of the Woods on the piano, which was really recorded during The Taylor Swift Experience at the Grammy Museum on 30 September.
She recalled feeling anxious throughout the relationship that inspired the song.
"It felt very fragile. It felt very tentative. It always felt like, 'Okay, what's the next road block? What's the next thing that's gonna deter this? How long do we have before this just turns into an awful mess and we break up? Is it a month? Is it three days?'" she explained. "I think a lot of relationships can be very solid and that's kind of what you hope for – solid and healthy. But that's not always what you get. And it doesn't mean that it's not special and extraordinary."
Taylor then sang Out of the Woods, and boy, did she sing it. What struck us the most about it is that it is the best live performance we've ever seen her do in a while, even without the fireworks, elaborate props, stylish costumes and backup dancers. We missed this side of you, Taylor.
