Taylor Swift fights herself in 'Ready for It'
The new music video shows yet another side to the popstar
[Updated 27 October 2017] The full music video is here, many moments are homages to anime (it's so Ghost in the Shell), and at some point, the words "They're burning all the witches" is seen on a platform from which Taylor stands and emits lightning. We'll leave you to contemplate what this all means.
Taylor Swift's back with another music video and we don't think you're ready for it.
Last night, the singer released three of the same teaser videos for ...Ready For It?, the second single off her Reputation album. While the scandalous Look What You Made Me Do video had not-too-subtle Easter eggs and saw the resurrection of the 'New Taylor', the upcoming music video reveals another version of the songstress – this time, a futuristic cyborg one.
In the super short clip, we get a glimpse of a sci-fi universe where a mysterious Taylor prowls the streets in a hooded cloak. She also dons a racy, nude bodysuit, and is able to draw power from what we think is lightning before engaging in a fight scene.
The full video drops on Thursday night in the U.S. (that's Friday morning for us). Brace yourselves.
the ready for it video looks like an even better version of bad blood, I’m going to fucking DIE. And no, Taylor, we are not ready for it.— lottie (@swiftcantbreak) October 23, 2017
