Taylor Swift mocks her old self in new music video
Dozens of old Taylor Swifts appear in 'Look What You Made Me Do'
Taylor Swift's new music video for Look What You Made Me Do was just released this morning, and it's probably the creepiest one from her yet. It features dozens of her personas from old music videos and iconic moments – true Swifties will probably be able to name every one of them – climbing a human mountain of, er, other Taylor Swifts. Who's at the top? The 'new' Taylor Swift.
"I'm sorry, the old Taylor can't come to the phone right now. Why? Oh, cause she's dead."
At the end of the video, her newer selves tell her old selves to shut up, and one sighs and says "There she goes, playing the victim again."
We're not going to go into all the Easter eggs in the video, but an interesting one is her T-shirt from You Belong With Me: the little signatures on the shirt were changed to the names of Taylor's friends including the Haim sisters, Selena Gomez, Blake Lively, Ryan Reynolds, Lena Dunham and Todrick Hall.
