Tributes to Dave

We've been a bit sad since Dave Letterman announced that he was leaving late-night television after 33 years, 22 of them as host of CBS's Late Show. And it seems we're not alone, as the celebs have been sharing their adoring tributes to the 68-year-old funny guy in buckets. Here are some of our favourites.

Jennifer Lawrence took to Facebook to beg Dave not to go, sharing this cute photo on Facebook. We agree with you, Jennifer!

And with the New York Yankees too:

Meanwhile, singer-songwriter Ryan Adams, who is a frequent guest of The Late Show, shared some of his memories with Dave.

Olivia Munn, on the other hand, reminisced about the time she realised Dave wasn't as grumpy as everyone actually thought:

You weren't so scary after all. 💙 #latenight #letterman #finalshow

Sia calls Dave "dad." PS. We do, too!

Fellow talk show host Ellen DeGeneres also bid farewell...

...while Conan O'Brien called Dave his "north star." Watch his funny and heartfelt tribute here:

But with all the beautiful tributes for Dave, we guess Sarah Silverman sums up what everyone feels about the legend's retirement.

Bye and thanks a lot Dave!
