Musician Sky Ferreira, who has spoken about sexual abuse that she’s suffered in the past, has written an open letter to trolls on her Facebook page. After enduring a barrage of sexist, misogynist online comments and messages, Sky is fighting back, saying “... they think it’s okay to say vile & (sexually) abusive shit to me on a daily basis... I’m not a mess, I’m not a drug addict, I’m not a slut or a bitch.”

Sky is the latest female musician to voice her concern over sexually abusive online treatment, with Lauren Mayberry of Chvrches speaking out in the Guardian last year and Grimes taking to her Tumblr to declare, “I’m tired of creeps on message boards discussing whether or not they’d ‘fuck’ me.”
