Malaysian singer Datuk Siti Nurhaliza, who is married to Datuk Seri Khalid Muhd Jiwa, has expressed her wish to conceive a child of her own. Berita Harian reports that the couple will be celebrating their ninth wedding anniversary on 21 August.

They opened up about the topic in a programme called Romantika Rayawhich focuses on Malaysian celebrity couples. The episode aired on Astro Ria on the weekend.

"We always pray for the happiness that we achieve will last. I want to be a guardian for the child. I hope one day I will be blessed with a child of my own even though I already have children from my husband's previous marriage," said Siti Nurhaliza.

"Even if I cannot conceive, it is okay. My husband and I have discussed that when we're older, we would like to live in the holy land of Mecca," she added. Her husband Datuk Seri Khalid aka Datuk K also shares his wife's hopes and is willing to accept the challenges.

"God willing, He who listens. Whatever is best for the both of us...we will accept it with open hearts," said Datuk K.
