Former The Voice contestant and Christina Grimmie was fatally shot by a man identified as Kevin James Loibl during her autograph session last Friday in Orlando. The 22-year-old singer, who rose to fame on YouTube prior to her stint in The Voice, was remembered by her close friend and Xbox Kinect commercial co-star Selena Gomez on Saturday.

Selena was in Miami for her Revival tour; she held back tears on stage as she talked about Christina before dedicating a rendition of a Hillsong Worship track called Transfiguration to the late singer.

"When I was 14, we met her and my parents and I signed her," said Selena. "One thing about Christina and her family is that she holds her faith so closely to her. And I think it's not about a religion and it's not about anything or good deeds. It's just that she had faith, and I don't really understand how this really happened, but I would like to dedicate this next song to her."

Charlie Puth
also paid a tribute to Christina at his concert in New York on Saturday.

"I was reading the news last night and heard that my good friend Christina Grimmie was killed, and I want to dedicate this song to her tonight," said Charlie before he performed See You Again. "I've been upset about this all day, mainly because I just never got to say what I wanted to say to her, and I feel like this song perfectly captures that."

Rest in peace, Christina.
