Scarlett Johansson files for divorce, wants primary custody of daughter
The parents of two-year-old Rose Dorothy Dauriac reportedly broke up months ago
[Updated 8 March 2017] Scarlett Johansson has filed for divorce from Romain Dauriac. She is also reportedly asking for primary custory of their 3-year-old daughter Rose Dorothy Dauriac, but Romain plans to oppose that.
His attorney told Page Six: "He would like to move to France with his daughter and Ms. Johansson does a lot of travelling."
Scarlett Johansson and French journalist Romain Dauriac have decided to go their separate ways, after being married for two years. People reported the news, and added that a source said "They've been separated since the summer."
Another source close to Romain told People that this didn't come as a surprise. "Romain and Scarlett has never made sense to me. They aren't equals. There's always been something wrong with this picture."
Here's what contradicts the reports of the summer split: the two were seen together at the opening of Scarlett's popcorn shop Yummy Pop in Paris, France in October 2016. Both were still wearing their wedding rings.
Just earlier this week, Scarlett was seen without her wedding ring, giving a heartfelt speech during the Women's March, calling out Donald Trump to "support all women."
Scarlett and Romain have always kept their relationship under the radar. They first received public attention when they were spotted having lunch together in late 2012, and got engaged in 2013. They secretly married in 2014 after Scarlett gave birth to their daughter, Rose Dorothy.
