Prince George starts school and the most adorable photos were taken
They grow up so fast
Prince George was accompanied by his father Prince William for his first day at school yesterday. The 4-year-old, who is enrolled at Thomas's Battersea (look at that cute uniform!), appeared to be shy as he shook hands with Helen Haslem, head of the lower school.
However, Prince William said that everything "went well."
"There was one other parent who had more of an issue with their children so I was quite pleased I wasn't the one. It was really nice actually,” Prince William said at a reception with England's Under-20 football team at Kensington Palace yesterday.
People pointed out that George may be using the last name Cambridge, after his father's title Duke of Cambridge. Similarly, when William and Harry went to school, they used the last name Wales after their father's title, the Prince of Wales.
George Cambridge. It's too much cuteness for us to hold in.
Kensington Palace also published a photograph of Princes William and George, taken shortly before they left for school. George is growing up so fast – where have the last four years gone?
The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to share a photograph of The Duke and Prince George at Kensington Palace this morning. The image was taken by @chrisjacksongetty shortly before Prince George left for his first day of school at Thomas's Battersea. Their Royal Highnesses are delighted to share this lovely picture as Prince George starts school, and would like to thank everyone for all of the kind messages they have received.
