Prince Charles and the Duchess of Cornwall to visit Malaysia
The Prince of Wales's Commonwealth Nations tour will include Malaysia, Singapore and India
The Prince of Wales will visit Malaysia for the first time next month as he and his wife Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall, go on their Commonwealth Nations tour ahead of the Commonwealth Summit in April 2018.
Their tour begins in Singapore on 31 October before they arrive in Kuala Lumpur on 3 November, where they will attend a gala dinner celebrating the UK and Malaysia's 60 years of diplomatic ties. Prince Charles and Camilla will also visit Sarawak, Perak and Georgetown, Penang. Finally, they will visit India on 8 November.
The Prince of Wales and Duchess of Cornwall are not the first British royals to visit Malaysia. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge visited Kuala Lumpur and Sabah in September 2012 on behalf of Queen Elizabeth II to mark her Diamond Jubilee. Queen Elizabeth II herself and the Duke of Edinburgh came in 1998 for the 16th Commonwealth Games in Kuala Lumpur.
Any chance their Royal Highnesses will bring grandkids George and Charlotte along?
