Oprah comes to the Kardashians' defense
She says what they do is hard work and it isn't as easy as it looks
While many look down on the Kardashian family for their publicity-mongering, scandal-churning ways, like actress Rebel Wilson who questioned Kendall and Kylie's work ethic in a recent comment, Oprah Winfrey has come to their defense.
She told the Kyle and Jackie O show in Australia that their work takes serious effort and commitment. "I interviewed the Kardashians two years ago and I can't believe how hard they work," said Oprah. "People don't understand that; people think, 'Oh, if a television camera's just following you, then that's just easy.' To really create a reality series that looks like something's actually happening, it means you have to be on all the time. I went to film them as a family and I couldn't believe how hard they worked. We were there for seven hours and they were gonna tape another seven hours after I left. No matter who you are, that is work."
Rebel Wilson previously said on the same show that she disdains them for their lack of talent. "It's not that you hate any of them individually, but it's just that everything they stand for is against everything I stand for. And they're not famous for talent. I worked really hard to get where I've gotten to," she said.
While riding on a family name and modeling talent (in Kim and Kendall) may not count for Rebel, they've probably worked just as hard to get to where she is now.
