Nur Fazura explains why she hasn't fully embraced the hijab
The move needs to come from the heart, the actress says
Former ELLE Malaysia cover girl Nur Fazura admits that choosing to wear the hijab every day is a big decision.
"I haven't embraced the hijab completely because I think it's a big move. If I really want to do it, there's a lot to consider. It needs to come from the heart, it's not that I'm not completely ready," she tells entertainment programme Melodi (via Rotikaya).
The actress and TV personality is often seen without the hijab, but during the recent Ramadan season, she took up wearing a headscarf and posted photos on Instagram, to many compliments.
"I wore a headscarf to respect the month of Ramadan. I like wearing headscarves anyway," she confesses. "After wearing it the first day, I felt like doing so on the second day and again on the third day. The feeling is very nice."
"If I want to take on wearing the hijab, it's between me and Allah. It's not something to be taken lightly. It comes from the heart and it needs to be sincere," Fazura adds.
