The series will focus on Nicki's life growing up in New York
You're going to see a lot more of Nicki Minaj soon as she will be getting her own comedy series on ABC Family. According to Deadline, Nicki is set to produce and appear in the series, which will focus on her family's migration from Trinidad in the 90s and on her growing up in Queens, New York. With the script written by Kate Angelo, the show will also shed some light on Nicki's rise to stardom.
"This is one of the more unique adventures I've ever embarked on," said Nicki. "I couldn't be more proud and excited to team up with an amazing group of people to give the world something really special."
Oh, Nicki is also looking for someone to play the younger version of herself on the show. According to her tweet, she will also be writing raps for #YoungNicki. Let the search begin and may the best Nicki win.
