Nicki Minaj says that Anaconda music video has no hidden meaning
If you've seen the music video for Nicki Minaj's Anaconda, you'd think that it's trying to make a statement about the female sexuality – especially coming from the controversial rapper – or, well, something. But according to Nicki, after being questioned about it in an interview with GQ, Anaconda has no context.
"I knew that I wanted a gym theme," she said. "And that's that."
"I think the video is about what girls do," the 31-year-old added when the topic was prodded some more. "Girls love being with other girls, and when you go back to us being younger, we would have slumber parties and we'd be dancing with our friends."
That's it? "I don't know what there is to really talk about," she insisted. "I'm being serious. I just see the video as being a normal video." Again, if you've seen the video, you would know that it isn't all that normal.
However, Nicki did drop some philosophy about the famous banana-cutting scene in the video. "At first I'm being sexual with the banana, and then it's like, 'Ha-ha, no.'" Apparently, the banana had way more significance than anything else. She said "that was important for us to show in the kitchen scene, because it's always about the female taking back the power, and if you want to be flirty and funny that's fine, but always keeping the power and the control in everything." We think we might lay off the bananas for a while...
Jennifer Lopez reportedly bought a penthouse in Manhattan
Chelsea Clinton and NASCAR driver Jeff Gordon may be Jennifer Lopez's new neighbours if the speculation that the singer purchased a $22m penthouse nearby Madison Square Park is true.
The spacious 6,450-square-foot four-bedroom, six-bathroom unit in Whitman building apparently even has a smart home system, which allows lights, music and heating to be controlled from the resident's mobile device. Four external terraces making up another 3,000 square feet's space means that JLo's crib would make for one insane party. Whitman buildling is about to become the block to live in.

Sarah Michelle Gellar's favourite onscreen kiss was not with husband, Freddie Prinze Jr.
Speaking on the Kyle and Jackie O Show on Australia's KIIS 1065 radio station, Sarah Michelle Gellar was asked by a fan who phoned in, "Who's been your best onscreen kiss?"
And without hesitation, the Buffy star called out Selma Blair, with whom she starred in 1999 film, Cruel Intentions. "That's easy," she said, referring to the question.
Sorry, Freddie. Not even your lip-locking scene with then just fiancée Sarah on Scooby-Doo can trump what she shared with Selma onscreen. It's safe to say that it doesn't reflect Freddie and Sarah's chemistry in real life, though. They have been happily married since 2002, and have two children together.

North West is going to have to work in the future
Kim Kardashian West is already planning ahead – very very much ahead – for her daughter, saying that North will have a job and "work for what she wants." Just like mummy did.
"I saved up for this Dolce & Gabbana dress I really wanted, or like in high school these Prada shoes that my parents wouldn't buy me," Kim told ES Magazine of her younger days, when she worked despite her family's wealth.
Her friends were very surprised when she wondered out loud what North's first job was going to be.
"They were like, 'What? She's gonna have a job?' and I was like, 'Are you kidding me? Of course she is'. She will have to work for what she wants."
With music in her dad, Kanye's palm, reality television in her mum's (and fashion in both, somewhat), North already has a few good career options if she's so interested, but there should be no stopping the girl from pursuing her own dreams, of course.
