Mariah Carey opens up about her split with James Packer
"If it's meant to be, it's meant to be and if it's not then ultimately you just have to accept that and move on," she said
As you may already know, Mariah Carey's reality series called Mariah's World will be all about the singer, her love life and her career. That means it won't be leaving out the parts where Mimi planned for her wedding to her then-fiancé James Packer and the moment when she tried her wedding dress on.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight, Mimi was asked if it was hard for her to re-watch footage of those happy moments. "All of those moments are bittersweet," she said. "But you just have to focus on whatever you're focusing on and keep it moving."
She also told E! News that "you gotta see what's meant to be and if it's meant to be, it's meant to be and if it's not then ultimately you just have to accept that and move on."
The songstress isn't going to let her breakup overshadow her career as the latter will be the main focus of the series. "The stories [are] interesting because it shows the side of the entertainment world that's not just the celebrity [aspect]," she added. "It's real [and] I don't feel like it feels like a scripted kind of reality [show] whatsoever."
Mariah's World premieres on E! on 6 December at 9pm (Astro channel 712).
