Justin Bieber, Taylor Swift and Ed Sheeran snag top honours

Divas, rock stars and pop starlets alike descended on Milan last night for the 2015 MTV Europe Music Awards. Justin Bieber was the big winner of the night, taking home a whopping five trophies, including the coveted Best Male and Best Worldwide Act awards.

Justin nailed five out of the six awards he was nominated for, but in stark contrast, Taylor Swift was victorious in only one category out of nine (although it is the most decorated), winning best song for Bad Blood. Host Ed Sheeran, One Direction and Nicki Minaj also won accolades: Nicki took Best Hip Hop, Ed won Best Live Act and One Direction nabbed Best Pop. Rihanna won for Best Female, beating the likes of Miley Cyrus, Ellie Goulding and Taylor.
