It's been two weeks since the release of Star Wars: The Force Awakens' second teaser trailer that starred Oscar Isaac, Harrison Ford and Peter Mayhew's Chewbacca. Since then, nothing.

So when the film's official Twitter account tweeted an inside look of Lupita Nyong'o's character transformation, we got excited. It has been almost a year since she announced she was joining the cast, after all.

The actress had dozens of white tracking dots on her face that will be used to transform her into her CGI character, Maz Kanata (whose allegiance remains unknown).

But that's not all, as Vanity Fair also posted a photo of Adam Driver in full costume on Instagram. According to the caption, he will be playing bad guy Kylo Ren. In the photo he is seen commanding snowtroopers loyal to the evil First Order on the frozen plains of their secret base.

Can it be 17 December already?
